It’s Make-or-break Election For Pakistan, Claims Imran

SARGODHA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Monday said that July 25 election would change the fate of the country.
Imran was addressing a press conference in Sargodha, where he was present as part of his ongoing election campaign.
He said that the status quo in a country’s political scenario could be quite powerful and it could, at times, be a big hurdle in bringing a change.
Imran lamented that farmers in Sargodha were oppressed, whereas people in Sindh were in a dire condition. He said that farmers had suffered immensely during the past five years.
He said that the PTI would introduce a special package for farmers, maintaining that improvement in their condition could bring prosperity to the country.
“The contest is going to be held in the next three weeks,” the PTI chief said, adding, “This is no common election; it can change the fate of the country.”
He said that the one, who brought a change and strengthened the institutions, could pull the country out of quicksand.
“From now onwards, you should be on the streets. We will give our best,” Imran told workers.
The PTI chairman earlier also visited Dargah Sial Sharif, where he requested Sahibzada Qasim Sialvi to support him in the polls ahead.
Meanwhile, the PTI on Monday issued countrywide election campaign schedule of party’s chairman Imran Khan.
According to the log issued by the party, the PTI chairman will campaign in 25 cities of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Sindh in the next 21 days.
Imran will spend 11 days addressing public rallies in 14 different cities of Punjab, according to the travel log.
After Punjab, the PTI chairman visit KP where he will campaign for five days in eight different cities.
Of the five days scheduled for Sindh, Imran will spend three days in Karachi and two in interior Sindh.
The PTI chairman’s campaign for the general election will conclude with a “massive rally” scheduled in Islamabad for July 23.
According to the party, the PTI chairman will not be visiting Balochistan or tribal areas in KP formerly known as Federal Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA).
Also the PTI had introduced constituencies’ management system for digital election campaign in Pakistan for the first time.
in his video message, Imran said to party candidates that a revolutionary thing had been introduced in which data of constituencies would be present.
Details of the campaign: July 2 (Sargodha), July 3 and 4 (Karachi), July 5 (Swabi and Charsadda), July 6 (Swat), July 7 (Jhelum and Gujarat), July 9 and 10 (Umerkot, Tharparkar and other cities of interior Sindh), July 11 (Rahim Yar Khan), July 12 (Gujranwala and Kasur), July 13 (Rawalpindi), July 14 (Mardan and Peshawar), July 15 (Sialkot and Faisalabad), July 16 (Mianwali and Bannu), July 18 and 19 (Lahore), July 20 (Bahawalpur and Multan), July 21 (nine different regions of Lahore), July 22 (Karachi), July 23 (Islamabad).

Heavy Monsoon Rains Lash Pakistan, Killing 6 In Lahore City

Torrential monsoon rains lashed many cities and towns across Pakistan before dawn Tuesday, flooding streets and killing six people, as authorities struggled to restore normalcy in rain-affected areas.
The fatalities all occurred in the eastern city of Lahore, where residential areas were flooded, Pakistan's National Disaster Management said.
The downpour — among the heaviest rains in recent decades — paralyzed life in the city and also exposed flaws in its sewer system, which flooded some of the streets in residential areas.
TV forage showed submerged roads and people wading through water.
According to the Meteorological Department, more heavy rains are expected this month.
Every year, many cities and towns in Pakistan struggle to cope with the annual monsoon deluge, drawing criticism about poor planning. Pakistan's monsoon season runs from July through September.
Rains also swell rivers during the monsoon season, causing floods that kill people and damage crops and infrastructure.

World Cup 2018: Group-by-Group Analysis

Who’s the star? Cristiano Ronaldo, obviously, and don’t you forget it.
What would success look like? After what happened at the Euros in France last year, Portugal’s durability should not be underestimated. They may not be pretty, but they can be very effective.

Best World Cup Winner (2010)
How did they qualify? In some style: Spain’s 3-0 win against Italy in qualifying was probably the most instructive result any of the major contenders recorded on the way to Russia. Under Julen Lopetegui, Spain seems to have rediscovered the panache that made it the best team in the world between 2008 and 2012.
What can we expect? The same bewitching blend of incisive passing, controlled tempo and technical ability that made Spain a world champion eight years ago, all arraigned behind the battering ram of Diego Costa.
Who’s the star? The old guard of Gerard Piqué, Sergio Ramos and Sergio Busquets will be crucial, but success will depend on the creative spark of the likes of Isco, Marco Asensio and Saúl Ñíguez.
What would success look like? Spain has the talent to regain its world title, but the true tests will come outside this group.

How did they qualify? Efficiently. Under Carlos Queiroz, the Portuguese coach who was once in charge of Real Madrid, Iran played 10 games, scored 10 goals, did not concede any, and was one of the first nations to book its place in the finals.
